How to Setup Gmail for Offline Viewing

Google Labs has now released the long awaited Offline viewing option for its famous Email client Gmail. So now you can sync your mail and read it offline if you wish. It does require you to install Google Gears found here. and it will only sync you newest 10,000 messages but that should be enough for most people.� Then its pretty easy to enable the offline settings. It works in Internet Explorer and Firefox, but if you set it up on Firefox the decide to switch to IE you will need to perforn the install again and vise versa.
