Remember the last time you needed to access one of your system folders, maybe your Music or Pictures or any other system folder. You had to click My Computer then navigate through all that mess of folders until you found the right one.
Well here’s a way to quickly get to any system folder. Just click the Start button > Run. In the Run dialog box type shell:foldername with foldername being the folder you want to view. Example shell:My Pictures click OK.

Have you ever wondered where a certain ZIP code is located. Well here’s a cool website I found that lets you type in the ZIP code and it shows it to you visually on a map. What’s different about this site is as you type in your numbers it high lights the area of the first number then gradually zooms in on the map as you add more numbers. Check it out at Zipdecode
If you are thinking about upgrading to Windows Vista here’s a way I found to give it a test drive out without having to install it on your computer, it will run in your browser only.
The test drive requires Internet Explorer 6 or later, a browser plug-in, and a broadband Internet connection.
A minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution is recommended. There is no product support for the test drive but you are welcome to participate in the Microsoft Windows Vista newsgroup to share your trial experiences with others and ask for advice.
The Windows Vista version hosted in the test drive contains most of the functionality of the regular versions, but browsing the internet is not enabled.
You may notice a slight delay or pause as you experience the product. This is due to the fact that this is a hosted trial and is dependent upon your bandwidth, local machine resources, etc. This does not necessarily represent the actual experience you will have with Windows Vista if it were installed on your PC.
Open Internet Explorer and go to Windows Vista Test Drive you will be asked to install an ActiveX control later on to use the Test Drive.

You are in the middle of some kind of project around the house mowing the lawn, putting a new fence in, painting the living room, or whatever. You are hot and sweaty, covered in dirt or paint. You have your old work clothes on. You know the outfit – shorts with the hole in crotch, old T-shirt with a stain from who knows what, and an old pair of tennis shoes. Right in the middle of this great home improvement project you realize you need to run to Wal-Mart to get something to help complete the job.

Google launched a new web browser called Chrome yesterday, so far it seems to load web pages fasted than Firefox 3 and IE 7 and is displaying pages with no problems on every site I visited. It imported all my bookmarks without a problem. It’s a free download from Google.
One of the nice features of Chrome is the way it handles its tabs, each one is run as it’s own instance in Windows, what that means is when you look in the task manager each tab has its own entry so when you close a tab all that memory is released, also if a page crashes it won’t crash the whole program.
On the down side I miss my Firefox extensions and don’t think I can use it in place of Firefox until those features are added, But judge for yourself and check out the comic below.
