If your computer is running a little wonkly lately, or your getting Blue screens of death (BSOD’s) you may have some System files that are corrupted. If so checking your system files may be a good idea.

To open the System File Checker follow the directions below, have your Windows install CD ready, you may be asked for it.

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Choose Run.
  3. Type sfc /scannow in the Run box.


  4. Sit back and relax for a while, this may take an hour or more.
