Here’s a quick tip that will show you how to close all your open programs at one time.
Hold down the CTRL key and click all the open programs in the task bar. (Notice they all stay selected) now right click any of the tabs and choose Close Group. Now all the programs you selected will close.

When you click Start > All Programs to view all your installed programs you will see that as you add new programs they get added to the bottom of the list and they get harder and harder to find, but its easy to sort them Alphabetically. Here’s how.
- Click the Start button.
- Choose All Programs.
- Right click anywhere in the programs list and choose Sort By Name.
Now all your Programs will be Alphabetized

Very rarely does a great program comes around that makes a difficult task manageable. If you use iTunes you most likely have many Albums with missing art work. iTunes Art Importer works and works good, Here’s a download link Give it a try and get your Coverflow working like it should. It is without a doubt the easiest way to to find and import your missing Art work.

If you’ve been using XP for a long time and have a but load of programs installed sometimes your programs menu will extend past the edge of your screen. To solve this problem all you have to do is enable scrolling for your Start > Programs folder, here’s how
- Right-click Start, select Properties.
- Select the Start Menu tab, and then click Customize.
- Click on the the Advanced tab.
- Look under Start menu items, scroll down to the Scroll Programs listing and place check in the box. Click Ok then apply
Now when you click Start > Programs. you will be able to scroll through all your Programs.

When navigating through your files with windows explorer you normally see Name, Size, Type and Date modified as your column headings. As shown below for my C drive.
But you can easily add more columns of info, just right click in any column heading for more options.
Put a check in the one you want and the change is instant.
Its great for Music or Video files.

We’ve all had to do it at least once, I routinely do it every 6 months. What am I talking about. Reformatting and reinstalling Windows XP. Whether you’re having problems with crashes, errors, spyware or viruses or just need to clean out the junk that accumulates over time. After you reinstall you will need to reactivate your copy of XP, but you can skip that step by following the instructions below. You will need to backup 2 files to a floppy disk, CD or external drive.
- Open My Computer or an Explorer window.
- Navigate to your “C” drive > windows > system32.
- Scroll down to you get to WPA.DBL and WPA.BAK
- Right click WPA.DBL and choose “send to” then pick where you want to copy it to.
- Do the same for WPA.BAK
Now you can perform your format and reinstall of XP. When you get to the Activation screen, decline to activate it and let the install finish. ( don’t forget to backup your data before reformatting)
Now restart Windows in “Safe Mode” (keep hitting F8 at start-up then when the Advanced Boot Options menu appears choose Safe Mode) your computer will boot into safe mode and it will look very different from what your used to.
Now you will need to navigate back to where you stored the WPA.DBL and WPA.BAK
- In My Computer or an Explorer window navigate to where you stored the WPA.DBL and WPA.BAK.
- Right click WPA.DBL and drag it to your “C” drive > windows > system32 folder and choose copy here. You will replace the existing file.
- Do the same for WPA.BAK and restart your computer.
- Now all you need to do is reinstall all your programs and backed up files.
