LogMeIn is a great program for accessing remote computers over the internet or your local network.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and love it. like their webpage says you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. And its 100% Free and works in XP and Vista
All you have to do is install LogMeIn on the computers you want to access, and then you can beam into that PC from anywhere using just a web browser. Internet Explorer users need to install an Active X control on the local machine.
Whatever you can do when you’re physically at the PC, you can now do remotely over the web.
» Open remote files » Access from any browser
» Check your email » Access from wireless Pocket PC
» Run programs » Easy-to-use interface
» Support remote users » 100% FREE to use!
Its a easy 3 step process to get running
1 Sign up
Enter your email address and choose a password. The automated set up wizard guides you quickly through the process.
Log into www.logmein.com, click the computer you want to access, and you’re in!
Control your PC as if you were sitting in front of it. Send email, run programs, open files.
I’ve been using it to trouble shoot problems with distant families and friends computers, and to access my home computer when I’m on the road or at work. I like it so much I’m going to upgrade to the pro version.
